The battery arrived on time but was a slightly different item. Since it fit, had a higher maH rating than the original battery, and Toshiba said it would replace the original battery, I decided to keep it. Until yesterday, everything worked fine. Yesterday, about 5 weeks after I received the replacement battery from Amazon, the battery failed; it will no longer hold a charge. The laptop works if the battery is removed and the computer is connected to external power, but when the battery is installed, it will not charge and the laptop will not power up.

I wanted to contact the vendor to see about returning it and getting a replacement but I can't find the vendor's name or contact information on Amazon.

I think I'll just order one of the more expensive batteries from a place other than Amazon; I'll have a little more confidence that I'll receive a higher quality product. At the very least, I'll know who to complain to if I have trouble with it.

Despite this being marketed as a Sony Vaio replacement battery, it was not recognized by my clients Sony Vaio laptop. The battery fit in the laptop and had the same serial code as the OEM battery but the laptop failed to recognize or charge the battery.I refuse to try the third party BIOS update for fear of bricking my clients laptop and a genuine Sony replacement battery should never require a BIOS update. Not sure why this would be marketed as a Sony Vaio replacement battery. Returned to Amazon for a refund.

This 6-cell battery was the best price I found for any 6-cell batteries out there for my HP Mini. It's really made my netbook more useful in terms of battery life (about 4 hrs). The battery is physically larger than the OEM 3-cell and it doesn't attach flush with the case - it actually rises up and acts like a small stand (higher at the back than the front). Before I could complain about the way it installs (the desgin factor and appearance), I found I really liked having the keyboard raised a little, plus I figure it aids in cooling too. It's completely solid to type on and everything fits well. It also fits fine in my semi-soft case; I flop the netbook upside down and the lift of the battery makes a space for the netbook's powercord. Perfect.

I bought this based on the reviews, and was confident I'd found a replacement battery for my T500 that would perform as well as the original 9-cell, which lasted about 5-6 hours when new. Early results are not promising - I unplugged a fully charged machine for less than ten minutes to print a document and 20% of the battery was used, and the icon stated that 1 hour and 40 minutes was remaining. This is not much better than the dying better I replaced. Very disappointing - this will not last a 2-hr flight let alone a x-country flight!
