I should have paid more attention but the battery and attached backer (part of the external case of the laptop) is black. This looks a bit silly on my white macbook but I did save $90 compared to the brand one. I was just looking to get a year or two out of this computer before replacing it so hopefully the investment was worth it. We will see!
