Meant for Asus 1201n as an extended battery. Amazing product and now my high-powered netbook has some breathing room when I take it to the coffee shop. This battery gives you plenty of extra time between charges and may allow you to type, skype, surf for a few hours longer than the stock battery that comes with the Asus 1201n. I have been looking for a battery for almost a year now! Finally!
The amazing battery has an extra 3 cells that "props" the rear of my netbook up, making it easier to type on. At first, the product had a cheap feel and didn't fit but after a few seconds of "wiggling" into it's spot, everything is alright. Just do what you can to "lock" the battery in place, with the red/black tab that is underneath the computer.
My old battery can be used a backup....
Update 4/28/2011: This battery is still working hard for my asus 1201n. I noticed that the battery is like any other battery, but it just holds more juice than the stock battery. Like all companies that rate their laptops battery life, they always do so with the brightness fairly low, power setting set on low-power(power savings), mild web browsing and with a few programs open. Every company apparently does this because even the macbook pro's battery is rated for 10 hours but typically last a few hours short of that. Im happy with this battery because the 1201n is very powerful for such a small netbook...especially if you can play games like mass effect on it...
Update: 1/17/2012. This battery is still going strong!
Update: 4/25/2012: battery has failed and will not hold a full charge more than 15 minutes. Contacted seller, will see what happens.
Update: This was several months ago, about a few weeks after the warranty expired. The battery is dead, or something is wrong with it. It won't hold a charge. I should have put 1 star down but 2 stars should do since it last barely over a year...
