This is one of the reasons I love the inexpensive Acer 11.6" laptop strategy - availability of cheap batteries with large capacity. If you are wondering, yes the bottom does protrude out almost 1.5 cm beyond the standard battery. However, you can consider this a benefit as well as a caveat. It raises the unit to a nice incline for typing and heat dissipation via the fan (versus the flat profile with the standard battery). Sometimes the standard rubber nubs get worn down so another positive feature is that this item will provide two new ones on the bottom of the battery. Unfortunately, the nubs were attached with cheap adhesive so I removed the adhesive completely and used super glue to reattach. The protrusion from the bottom is not as comfortable as the standard battery during use while resting on your legs but again it can be nicer on a desk/tabletop due to the incline.
