I purchased this battery because it was cheaper than the OEM supplied by Dell. Much cheaper.

I was a little disappointed when I saw that the kilowatt hours weren't the same.(OEM is 56KWH, this is 48KWH) Don't let that discourage you from purchasing this laptop battery. It fit into my Dell Latitude D520 perfectly.

Battery came with a 75% charge. I inserted it into my laptop and proceeded to drain the battery to dead. I then planned on charging the battery fully and then fully discharging the battery. At 75% battery life, Windows was telling me I had over 2 hours of battery life left. I got two hours exactly before Windows hibernated due to battery life.

After a full charge, Windows was telling me I had over 3 hours of battery life. This is more than the OEM original I had. I got three hours too.

I'd recommend this battery to any Dell owners with a dead battery that is a M9014 that needs a replacement. Works great.
