Arrived on time - but that's where the good part ended. Although the battery reported having a 50% charge when I installed it, it would not power my MacBook and was reported by the system as "Not charging." My Macbook started up fine with the power supply plugged in, but as soon as I unplugged it it switched off immediately. In addition the casing appears to have been tampered with (one screw head stripped, another poorly inserted), suggesting that this is a poorly manufactured product, or worse a remanufactured product being sold as new.

I reported all of this to Techno Earth Customer services, including the fact that I had the product shipped to me in Colombia, so it was going to cost me almost as much as the initial cost to ship it back. But they will not authorise a refund until I return the battery and will not refund the return postage - this in spite of my offering to provide them with full photographic and video evidence of the defects.

I then posted negative seller feedback and was contacted by another Techno Earth employee, who accused me of posting a negative review without having contacted customer services first!!! I sent him/her (none of them give their names) copies of all my mails to customer services, and he/she got back to me with the offer of a $15 partial refund, but on the condition that I change my feedback!!! Where I'm from that's called bribery!

Maybe I was unlucky, but whatever, after my experience I wouldn't recommend these people if they were the last battery maker on earth...
