The original HP battery pack died within the first year and HP replaced it. The replacement died about 14 months later, but my 3-year extended warranty didn't cover the battery. I limped along for the past few years never straying far from a power outlet, but I finally decided to purchase a new battery pack to regain some mobility.

This battery pack is larger than my old one had gives the laptop a bit of an incline when installed. I like this better because the airflow through the laptop with the old battery was very constricted and I usually propped it up on a pencil to keep it running cool. This one has about the same space (a bit more), so I'm not worried about overheating.

So far, the battery is doing well and it looks identical to the original HP provided batteries. Great option for less than half the price of an HP official replacement.

Just an update - after ~4.5 months the battery pack is still performing as expected.
