I got this battery for two reasons.
#1 Run time, when I'm traveling and need to do business, where all I have is a Wireless USB stick and nowhere to plug in, this battery works great.
#2 to elevate my laptop and have it run cooler without having to prop it up...

It adds some minor weight to an already heavy 17" laptop and that's ok.
Would definitely buy one again.
