Well, you will see on the site the long list of Toshiba laptops this battery is supposed to replace. It includes my laptop L655-S5156. When the battery arrived it was clearly the correct shape but still took some effort to get it into place and to lock it. Then I noticed that the computer was indicating that the battery was not charging AND that no battery was being detected. So, although advertised as such, this battery will not work on the Toshiba L655-S5156. So, piece of junk, which I returned and received a refund from Amazon. It is interesting to note that the box that the battery came in had 2 numbers on the side corresponding to 2 models of toshiba laptop, NOT the big long list on the website. Of course, I don't know if the battery would work in those, but why would you want to mess around with one of these rip-off companies anyway? SO, STEER CLEAR. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!
