Toshiba PA3817U-1BAS Laptop Battery - 10.8V 12cells Review

The prices of laptop batteries are all over the place. Furthermore, the information provided online often makes them very difficult to compare. Nearly everthing you see is a 6 cell battery, probably the same size as what was on the laptop when you bought it. This one is unusual because of its size (12 cells). That basically means double the life of a standard battery. On my computer running at the "eco" setting and doing normal work (a mix of web browsing, writing, emails, etc.), I get 7.5 to 8 hours out of this battery. Have used it for about a month now, and it works fine. The only downside (hence the 4 stars out of 5) is the weight. Because it's double the size, it's double the weight of the standard battery. If you're looking for sleek and lightweight, this isn't the battery for you. But if you want to go hours and hours without needing to recharge, this is what you're looking for.
