I love my 1000H Asus Eee, so I wanted to improve the already stunning battery life and bought this 10 cell...

I am amazed at the run time now.. In the last 2 or 3 days, I have been getting 11 to 12 hours runtime from a charge. This is simply amazing to me.

When Eee was new, I wiped off XP and installed Ubuntu Linux, upgraded memory to 2 gigs, , power saving settings are turned on, cpu scales up or down as needed from 800mhz to 1.6ghz. I use the wireless connection method, and bluetooth to tether my cell phone / Internet.

I run screen full bright but allow screen to dim after 2 or 3 minutes of non-use, then screen shuts off after 5 minutes. Eee stays on unless I close the lid for suspend.

The physical batt sticks out towards the back in a nice way, but it doesnt seem to change the attitude of the unit, and actually gives you something to hold on to when you carry it...
Great deal at $99 bucks...get one you wont regret it.

I bought this battery for my work laptop. For the most part, it's fine, however I have run into an issue with the battery. It seems that when it is below 50% and I close my laptop to put it to sleep, the battery sometimes stops working. It was like the computer stopped recognizing the battery was there once it was asleep. When I open the laptop back up, the computer says that Windows was not shut down properly and data may have been lost, etc. I have to press the power button a few times to get it to turn on.

Shipping was very fast. I ordered on a Tuesday and received on the same Friday.

The battery went right into my Vaio FZ and was recognized right away. I did not have to install anything.

However, I am a little disappointed that the battery I received is only 8800mah. The description does say 8800-10400mah, but I guess I figured the 12 cell would be 10400. I ordered this to replace another 12 cell that died on me, and that one was 10400mah. This is not a very big deal, but I probably would not have ordered this had I known it was not 10400mah.

Anyway, so far this battery is working good. For the price it was not a bad deal.
