Toshiba Satellite L655D-S5050 Laptop Battery - Premium TechFuel 12 cell, Li-ion Battery Review

So far so good. I will say that the battery I ordered came a bit slower than was promised and the battery package had been previously opened. Hence my NEW battery was someone else's returned battery. But I thought I would give it a try anyway, because my old battery had crashed and school started. When I plugged in the new battery it showed only a 50 % charge.
This new battery shows that I have something around 9 hours of life when I fully charge it. The 9 hours of life is based on ECO settings of course with my Toshiba Laptop. The actual life will depend of course on what you are doing on your PC. The more screen changes or variations that you use..The less the life will be. I have used my PC at college with this battery four up to 7 hours before I needed to plug in.
My goal was to be able to get 5 solid hours on my PC so that I could watch a movie or two on long trips. I have not had that opportunity yet to try this experiment.
I would suggest that you get a PC lap cooler, or have a fan close by and running, IF you purchase a 12 cell battery.
It is my opinion that any Laptop not designed to run for 6 or 8 hours without having time to COOL OFF. Hence the reason they sell them with only a 6 cell battery.
It stands to reason that you need to reduce the additional HEAT buildup of running for extended times by fans or by having your PC sitting on an extremely cool surface that does not deflect heat back into the plastic housing of your laptop which in turns over heats all your internal components to the point of a possible shut down or blow out of the mother board.
