Uwater G4 Waterproof MP3Uwater G4 Waterproof MP3, BLK/YELLOW Review
I was charging by USB after using it for a while. The blue light came on, and wouldn't go off (press+hold power button had no effect). I left it over night, and the blue light was off, press+hold of power button wouldn't turn it back on. Am charging again, but 30 mins in that power button has no effect. It is dead I think, and I'll be returning it soon. Before that I had the same problem many other people reported - it plays one song, then stops. It's like the thing can't play some songs and chokes on them when it encounters them.
More things to note -
1) buttons are not designed for operation without looking closely at unit. Their "Underwater FM player" is MUCH better in that regard.
2) The clip is a truly shit design - it's bound to snap or become detached.
3) The User Manual is not findable via a google search (I wanted to double check reboot and file-format compatibility)
That said, when it does play, I enjoy it.
** Nov 6 update (changing from one star to two) **
I let the battery go flat over several days, and it does charge up again and work. I've experimented with resampling my MP3s so that they are a smaller bit-rate, but the songs that don't play issue is still there.
